Obviously, Mr Wallace visited the newly-completed Burroughs factory at Plymouth, Michigan and presumably spent several days working there. The building itself was designed by the legendary Albert Kahn and is still standing, but without the distinctive chimney.


The Burroughs Farms were a recreation park on the shores of Little Crooked Lake where company employees could rent holiday cottages; it operated from 1927 until the mid-1980s.
